British TV Lover’s T-Shirt

British TV Lover’s T-Shirt

British TV fans are an interesting bunch. On one side, you have your younger British TV fans, often introduced to British TV by things like Netflix and Hulu and Prime Video. They tend to enjoy shows like The IT Crowd, Doctor Who, Broadchurch, Gavin & Stacey, Downton Abbey, and Luther.

On the other side, you have a huge number of much older British TV Fans. They love their mysteries, but they also crack up to campy old comedies like Keeping Up Appearances and Are You Being Served? Those Mrs. Slocombe’s Pussy jokes never do get old, do they?

The British TV Lover’s T-Shirt works equally well for both groups. You’ll find old lady classics like Vera, Home Fires, and Inspector Morse alongside more youthful favorites like Miranda, Doctor Who, and The IT Crowd. And of course, nearly every female British TV fan can get behind Poldark – if only for the shirtless scenes with Aidan Turner.

If this one’s a little too generic for you, there’s always this one:

Hyacinth Bucket Keeping Up Appearances T-Shirt

It reads: You’re invited to my waterside supper with riparian entertainment.

Keeping Up Appearances fans will get it instantly, but it may be a bit puzzling for pretty much EVERYONE ELSE. Hyacinth Bucket, the main character in the show, was always trying to stage elaborate and upscale events for her friends and acquaintances (much to their chagrin). She loved anything that sounded fancier than she really was, largely because she always hoped to rise above her humble beginnings. It makes for an amusing character, but you probably wouldn’t want to know her in real life.
